Hello! :
Lately im trying to expand my practice of mindfulness 24/7, but im finishing all days with a strong headache...
the problem its that besides that, im getting good results, so dont know what to cut off..
what i do is make a mental note with internal speech "i understand, im sitting"..or whatever happens around the 4 frames of reference.
I never had headache problems with sitting meditation.
What do you think?.
Thanks!

I'd say you are probably pushing too hard and might be contracted. Mindfulness should be gentle, watching your moment to moment reality like you watch a lover breathe while they sleep. Try and force it, you get lots of neck tension.

Ie,
Are you pre-stream entry? I remember having sick migraine-like headaches during my pre-stream entry days.
To me it kinda felt like there was alot of energy building up and looking for a wait out. It used to drive me insane.
Owen also makes a good point regarding pushing too hard at times also. One can get really tense without noticing it while getting really concentrated in practice. It can get really intense. Praciting with a more gentle approach, at least in my experience, allows the stages (or jhanas, or whatever it is you are noticing) to manifest more cleanly and in a more natural way. It's all about balance.
...maybe it's a combination of both....?
try Owen's suggestion and let us know how that works for ya!
