Picked a book off the shelf today and it was "Gestures of Awareness" by Charles Genoud.
A quote that jumped out at me:
"We don't need to make any separation between bodily sensations and awareness. Bodily sensations are already awareness."
He writes good stuff and many of his chapters include specific practices, not just theory or ramblings. This particular book is written in a spare, poetic sort of manner.
I was intrigued to read in the introduction that in his long ago past he had been an initiate of Santeria (or some related tradition). He later got into other practices.
