I have not looked, but suspect there is not a book like that. However, is there a really good Taoism-in-a-nutshell kind of book anyone can recommend to put on my reading TDL? Something a bit more accessible that a translation of the Tao Te Ching, please.

There is a perhaps overly-scholarly Shambhala Guide to Taoism, by Eva Wong. I haven't read that one.

I liked John Blofeld's Taoism: the Road to Immortality. And Ray Griggs' The Tao of Zen.

And there are also a Complete Idiot's Guide to Taoism and Taoism for Dummies-- neither of which I've seen, although some of those kinds of books are better-sourced than you'd think.
